G’Day and welcome to Sydney!  On arrival in Sydney cruise ship terminal, a private charter will collect the group from the designated area at the Overseas Passenger cruise terminal and transfer to your hotel. (Note: check in after 2pm).   

This evening the group will enjoy 2 Course dinner at the Sydney Tower Infinity Restaurant (No Beverages included)

*Note: Local Guide and transfer are not included and can be added on request at additional cost. The restaurant is about 15 min walk from the hotel.

08FEB          FLY SYDNEY TO BRISBANE     (B)

Today after breakfast and check out of the hotel, transfer to the airport for the flight to Brisbane. (flight is not included and will be quoted separately)

09FEB          BRISBANE FULL DAY TOUR     (B)

This morning after breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and taken on a Full Day City Sights Tour.

On this day you, will enjoy a city tour of the modern and vibrant capital of Queensland, from a cafe culture to thriving shops and 19th century sandstone buildings, you will see Story Bridge one of only 3 climbable bridges in the world, you will visit Mt. Coot-tha Lookout for spectacular views of the town of Moreton Island and Stradbroke Island and the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary located at Jesmond Road, Fig Tree Pocket.

Enjoy an informative commentary from your captain as you glide along Brisbane’s waterfront, passing from the bustle of the city’s skyscrapers to leafy suburbs with waterside mansions. Indulge in homemade morning teas, meals and snacks (own expense) from our on-board cafe.                 

You will have three hours to explore the world’s largest koala sanctuary and discover the Platypus House where you may get a chance to see the shy platypus, a native to Australia. You can also feed the kangaroos and wallabies; more than 100 of them live in a 5-acre (2 hectare) reserve at Lone Pine. Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary will provide you with a memorable and unique experience.

It is the world's first and largest koala sanctuary, with over 130 koalas. Here, Australia's native flora and fauna are waiting to delight. Take the opportunity to have your photo taken cuddling a koala (souvenir memento available) and hand feed kangaroos and wallabies.

Return to the hotel in the afternoon and tour concludes.

11FEB          BRISBANE TO CAIRNS     (B/D)

After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and transfer to the airport for the flight to Cairns. (flight is not included and will be quoted separately)

On arrival after collecting luggage Local Guide will meet & greet you at the Arrival Hall and assist you for your transfer to your accommodation in Cairns.

This evening the group will be collected from the hotel to the Cairns Aquarium for Aquarium by Twilight tour Includes Dinner.

Enjoy a two-hour guided tour through the Cairns Aquarium while learning about the nocturnal habits of reef and rainforest creatures followed by a 3-course gourmet dinner including entrée, main and dessert in our aquatic themed restaurant.

12FEB          GREAT BARRIER REEF FULL DAY TOUR     (B/L)

Today after breakfast at the hotel, make your own way to the reef fleet terminal (very close to the hotel).

Check-in starts at 7.00am at Sunlover Cruises counter inside the Reef Fleet Terminal and closes 15 minutes prior to departure time (7.45am).

Departing from Cairns, embark on a 1.5-hour journey aboard our air-conditioned catamaran to reach Sunlover Moore Reef Pontoon on the Outer Great Barrier Reef. This pontoon is perfectly positioned and fully equipped to ensure that visitors of all ages and abilities can fully immerse themselves in the beauty of the reef, with its vibrant coral, fascinating marine life, including turtles, and more.

13FEB          KURANDA FULL DAY TOUR     (B/L)

After breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and taken on a Full Day Kuranda Tour. Kuranda is the aboriginal for 'village in the rainforest', and over the years has taken on a distinctive character as a popular visitor destination in its own right.

Kuranda is famous for having the biggest and most frequent art and craft markets in Tropical North Queensland. Indigenous culture, legends and lifestyle give the village an ancient feel.

Meet with the coach again for the short transfer to Rainforestation Nature Park, boasting 40 hectares of gardens and rainforest set amidst World Heritage areas. Ride the amphibious army duck through the rainforest and visit the Koala and Wildlife Park.

The Dreamtime Walk provides a comprehensive introduction to Aboriginal and Islander culture and history with practical experiences including boomerang lessons on spear throwing. Skyrail - One Way Skyrail Rainforest Cableway

Board the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for an amazing experience over Australia’s World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest canopy and deep into the forest.

Your Skyrail experience should take approximately 1 ½ hours and includes spending time at the two rainforest mid-stations. Allow 20 minutes for each station, to enjoy Ranger guided boardwalk tours and visit the Rainforest Interpretation Centre, lookouts and historical displays.

In Cairns, your coach will be waiting to take you back to your hotel. (arrive at the hotel at around 06:00pm)

 

14FEB          FLY CAIRNS TO AYERS ROCK     (B)

Today after breakfast, check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport for the flight to Ayers Rock. (flight is not included and will be quoted separately)

On arrival in Ayers Rock, you will be collected from the airport and transferred to your hotel. (Check in is available after 3 PM)

Uluru Base Tour & Sunset

In the afternoon depart hotel for Uluru base tour and Sunset and travel into the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and take our place at the Uluru Sunset Platform. Head into the National Park before sunset to the base of the Kata Tjuta and walk through Walpa Gorge, a desert refuge for plants and animals. This is the place to take the quintessential Uluru photo.

As the sun sinks behind you, the rock transforms from pinkish hues to a fluorescent orange and deep shades of red. Watch as the sun sets over the outback and changes the colours of Uluru. With plenty of time, travel to the Uluru Sunset Viewing Area where you can relax with a sparkling wine or two while you enjoy a famous Uluru sunset. Witness the incredible changing colours as the sun sets below the horizon. You’ll arrive back at Ayers Rock 30 minutes after sunset.

Tour Concludes at the hotel.

15FEB          AYERS ROCK     (B/D)

Uluru Sunrise & Kata Tjuta. For the early risers, depart from your hotel 75 minutes prior to sunrise and travel to the sunrise viewing area of Uluru (Ayers Rock) and watch the first sunlight of the day creep across the desert plains.  Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Re-join your coach for your Base Tour of Uluru (Ayers Rock). Begin with a drive around the base of Uluru. Your driver will point out a number of interesting features of the monolith, then take you on a walking tour of Mutitjulu Waterhole, where you can view Aboriginal rock art. If time permits, you may visit the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.

The tour concludes at your hotel. Afternoon is free at your own leisure.

This evening, the group will enjoy A Night at Field of Light Dinner.

A Night at Field of Light experience begins with a transfer to the remote desert location with majestic views of Uluru. With Uluru as the backdrop, guests enjoy canapés and chilled sparkling wine to the sounds of a didgeridoo as the sun slowly sets. As darkness gradually falls and the coloured lights of the 50,000 glass spheres come to life guests enjoy a local Indigenous performance, welcoming them to this unique country, before being invited to join their fellow travellers at their dinner table for a special three-course bush tucker inspired buffet menu. As the night ignites with countless stars, settle back and listen to the guide explain the southern night sky.

A knowledgeable guide will provide insights and background to the monumental installation and guests are invited to immerse themselves and walk through the Field of Light on their own.

After dinner guests are welcomed back at the dune viewing area to enjoy a sweet treat, hot chocolate or port whilst viewing the illuminated installation in the darkness.

 

16FEB          FLY AYERS ROCK TO MELBOURNE     (B/D)

Upon your arrival at Melbourne airport, board your private coach for your transfer to your hotel.

17FEB          MELBOURNE CITY TOUR AND PHILLIP ISLAND     (B)

Today after breakfast the group will be collected for a full day tour Melbourne and Phillip Island.

Melbourne is Australia’s cosmopolitan and sophisticated lifestyle capital, discover Melbourne's past and present. The drive will take in the central business district with its eclectic architecture, past the 170-million-dollar Victorian Arts Centre.

View Captain Cook's Cottage in the beautiful Fitzroy Gardens with avenues of huge English elms planted along gently contoured lawns. Pass by the Botanical Gardens and observe the hustle and bustle of the famous Queen Victorian Markets. Continue along taking in views of the Shrine of Remembrance and St Patrick's Cathedral.

Free time for lunch. (own expense, not included)

After lunch, depart Melbourne in the afternoon, following the Yarra River through the leafy southeastern suburbs and rural countryside, before arriving at the bridge to Phillip Island.

Your animal adventures will start with a visit to Moonlit Sanctuary Conservation Park with fascinating Australian animals at every turn. You have up-close encounters with animals like kangaroos, wombats and echidnas.

Next, we will head to the island (Phillip Island) where will head to Woolamai Surf Beach to catch a glimpse of the awesome waves and die-hard surfers (weather permitting). We then cross the island to reach the dramatic west coast and the Nobbies where you will be awe-struck by the crashing waves.

 And finally, it's time for the main event, the Penguin Parade. There is a reason that this is one of Australia's top attractions and the little penguins will not disappoint! You will sit on the protective platform to see possibly hundreds of little penguins waddling onto the beach. This fabulous natural spectacular is run by a non-for-profit organisation where all profits are directly reinvested in conservation efforts to protect the little penguins.

Phillip Island Nature Park - Penguins Plus

Come and see the penguins as they emerge from the water and make their dangerous dash across the sand to their burrows in the dunes. The premium Penguins Plus viewing platform is a joint venture between Phillip Island Nature Parks and the RACV, and offers our visitors great views of Summerland Beach, along with up-close viewing of the little penguins as they waddle along the most popular pathway at the Penguin Parade.

This lovely morning, after breakfast, you will be collected from your hotel and taken on a Full day Yarra Valley Tour.
